South Korean YouTuber Jiah has opened up after she went viral after being invited by Indonesian men to a hotel while eating alone.
In an Instagram post on Friday (10/5), Jiah expressed her gratitude to Indonesian netizens who were worried about her and said she was currently in good condition.
“I was surprised to see my video suddenly go viral on other social media, thank you all for caring about me,” Jiah said in the Story upload.
“Now I’m safe and fine, so no need to worry! I will be more careful,” she continued.
Jiah said she had read all the comments that came in the column of her YouTube video. However, he apologized that he could not reply to all of these comments.
She also asked netizens not to trust any fake TikTok or other accounts on her behalf.
A Korean YouTuber named Jiah went viral on social media after uploading a vacation video to Manado to Bunaken and getting an invitation to the hotel by an unknown local Indonesian man.
The video uploaded on Sunday (5/5) went viral because netizens found the moment Jiah was approached by two men while eating at a restaurant.
In the video content entitled “Becoming Friends with the Om | to Bunaken from Manado”, Jiah was originally eating food alone. She was then invited to chat by two men at the opposite table.
The two men asked Jiah where she was from, then invited the YouTuber to join them to get to know each other.
One of the men who appeared in the video had asked where Jiah was staying. They even invited Jiah to play at the hotel where the two men were staying.
The conversation and gestures of the two Indonesian citizens towards Jiah also drew attention from netizens. Viewers of the YouTube video flooded the comments column by writing messages for the YouTuber to be more vigilant when getting acquainted with new people.
Some people also asked Jiah to delete the contacts of the two men if they had exchanged information. In fact, not a few netizens also apologized for the attitude and gestures of the two citizens in Jiah’s video.
