The Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) has officially released the Team Indonesia jersey for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The launch event took place at The Dharmawangsa, Jakarta, on Thursday (4/7).
The launch event as well as the Indonesian national team jersey exhibition was attended by Chef de Mission Anindya Bakrie, Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee Raja Sapta Oktohari, Didit Hediprasetyo as a designer, and swimming athlete Joe Aditya Wijaya Kurniawan.
Inspiration and Design
Didit explained that the inspiration for the design he created in the jersey for the Indonesian team came from the song ‘Berkibarlah Benderaku’.
“At that time I was looking for inspiration for this collection, so I found it while listening to Berkibarlah Benderaku again. Red symbolizes gallantry, and white symbolizes purity,” Didit was quoted as saying, on Friday (5/7).
It can be seen that several models are distinguished by the shape of the neck. Each jersey is given a touch of red and white, reflecting the Red and White flag that flies proudly.
On the left chest, there is a garuda bird emblem. While on the right, the Li-Ning sponsor logo is neatly attached.
Team Indonesia Jersey Collection
According to the Instagram page @timindonesiaofficial, the Indonesian team jersey collection has been prepared with various items, ranging from T-shirts, short pants, track pants, and jersey playing kits. Each item is tailored to the needs of each sport, such as rowing, gymnastics, athletics, and badminton.
Not only that, there are several special uniforms that athletes and contingents will wear when departing, returning, other official events, and when receiving medals.
