Adapted From A Webtoon Series

The 8 Show is one of the Korean dramas with an interesting plot adapted from the Webtoon series. Yup, The 8 Show is based on Bae Jin Soo’s Money Game and Pie Game released through Naver Webtoon.

The 8 Show itself presents a story about eight people who both need money, involved in a mysterious game. They have to live in a building like an apartment with levels from one to eight.

Although it looks easy at first because they get money for ‘free’ without doing anything, the daily needs of the eight participants must be purchased with prize money that is 1000 times more expensive.

As time went on, each of them would earn money. However, the eight participants slowly realized that they had to create ‘entertainment’ to keep the time growing, even if it meant they had to do things to make it happen.

There are some rules that the participants must follow, as well as the stipulation that the game will end if one of the participants dies.

Although The 8 Show does not present the ‘game’ sequentially like in Squid Game, it still presents a picture of how the participants must do various ways to earn money and survive the internal conflicts that arise among other players.

Nevertheless, The 8 Show still has a different plot and appeal from Squid Game. If you like these types of shows, you can watch The 8 Show on Netflix!
