
In recent weeks, almost all regions in Indonesia have been hit by hot weather that is so hot during the day. The air temperature is so hot that it makes you swelter, doesn’t it? However, as hot as the weather in Indonesia is at the moment, it turns out to be nothing when compared to several countries in other Asian regions.
According to AccuWeather data, a number of countries located in Southeast Asia and South Asia are facing a heat wave. The highest temperatures cover parts of the region, starting from Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar. The heat there even reached above 40 degrees Celsius.

1. Mali

The second largest country on the African continent, precisely in the West African region, Mali is the top country that has the hottest temperature in the world. Most of its territory is in the Sahara and Sahel Desert. Not surprisingly, the climate in this country is hot and dry, with very little rainfall.
The average annual temperature in Mali is around 28.25 degrees Celsius. In fact, the highest temperatures are common during Mali’s summer. Lasting from April to June, extreme temperatures can soar dramatically, even reaching 45 degrees Celsius. Duh, you can really imagine the heat.
2. Burkina Faso

Equally located in West Africa, Burkina Faso is a landlocked country. The country, which borders Mali to the north, has a semi-arid climate and tropical savannahs that keep most of its territory warm throughout the year. The average annual temperature is 28.25 degrees Celsius.
However, the temperature can change significantly, especially during the summer. Lasting from March to May, temperatures in some parts of Burkina Faso can reach over 40 degrees Celsius.
Dry seasons and hot weather can be prolonged, but the country’s rainy season is relatively short and irregular.
3. Kiribati

The Republic of Kiribati is an island nation in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean. The country is one of the hottest in Oceania. Kiribati is known to have a tropical rainy climate with an average annual temperature of 28.20 degrees Celsius.
So, most people in the country prefer to live on one of the islands with relatively stable temperatures, namely Tarawa Island.
4. Djibouti

Djibouti is a small country located on the northeast coast of the Horn of Africa. It is the fourth hottest country in the world with an average annual temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. The country has an arid and semi-arid climate.
However, Djibouti experiences very high temperatures, especially in its interior region which is mostly desert. Temperatures in the region can soar to above 40 degrees Celsius during the day most of the year. In fact, the region records highs of 50 degrees Celsius in the summer months.
5. Tuvalu

Tuvalu is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean located between Hawaii and Australia. The country has a tropical climate as well as fairly regular rainfall. The average temperature is around 28 degrees making it warm throughout the year.
6. Senegal

Located in the westernmost part of Africa, Senegal is one of the hottest countries in the world. The country has a tropical Sahel climate, characterized by extreme temperature differences with periods of low rainfall and severe drought.
Even so, the average annual temperature in the country is 27.85 degrees Celsius. During the dry season, which runs from November to May, locals experience dry air and hot winds that blow fine dust. This causes air quality and visibility to decrease.
7. Mauritania

Located in West Africa and bordering the Atlantic Ocean, Mauritania’s climate is shaped by its vast desert, driving an average annual temperature of 27.65 degrees Celsius.
The interior of Mauritania, which includes the Adrar and Tagant regions, is even hotter due to its location in the Sahara Desert. In fact, due to climate change over the past few decades, the heat in Mauritania has increased along with pollution.
8. Maldives

The Maldives, also known as the Maldives, is the eighth hottest country in the world. The heat in this country is relatively consistent throughout the year due to the tropical monsoon climate. The average annual temperature is around 27.65 degrees Celsius.
Unfortunately, climate change has caused storms and increased coastal erosion in the country, which is famous for its beautiful diversity of marine life.
9. Palau

Palau is an island nation located in the western Pacific Ocean. This country has a tropical climate. Even so, rainfall in Palau is still regular and usually occurs from July to October each year. The average annual temperature in Palau is around 27.6 degrees Celsius.
10. Benin

Benin is located in West Africa and borders Nigeria. The country has a tropical climate with rainfall most frequent in the southern region and arid in the north. The average annual temperature is around 27.55 degrees Celsius.
In the northern region, the heat from February to May often soars to 40 degrees Celsius. That’s because the climate in Benin often fluctuates in some areas.
