Sad news, the founder of Indonesia’s legendary beauty brand, Mustika Ratu Mooryati Soedibyo passed away at the age of 96, around 01.00 WIB, on Wednesday (24/4/2024).
The news of her death has been confirmed by the family.
“Innalilahi Wainnalillaihi Roji’un. Has passed away in peace, Mrs. DR.H.BRA. Mooryati Soedibyo on Wednesday at 1:00 WIB in the morning on April 24, 2024 at the age of 96 (January 5, 1928 – April 24, 2024),” read a short message from the family spread via WhatsApp.
Quoting Wolipop, Mooryati Soedibyo’s body will be laid to rest at the funeral home in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta. Then, it will be buried in Tapas Bogor, West Java.
The family also asked for an apology, if the deceased had mistakes and oversights.
“If the deceased has mistakes and mistakes in speech and behavior during her lifetime, please forgive and hopefully husnul khotimah,” asked Mooryati Soedibyo’s family.

Mooryati Soedibyo was born in Surakarta, Central Java, on January 5, 1928. Not only did she give birth to Mustika Ratu, which is now widely known, she is a smart and great figure that Beauties need to know!
The granddaughter of Sri Susuhunan Pakoe Boewono X of the Surakarta Palace is the Second Vice Chairman of the MPR for the 2004-2009 period and also one of the originators of the idea of Puteri Indonesia election content, which is now always held annually.
She is listed by MURI as the oldest doctoral degree holder in Indonesia. In fact, her name was listed 7th on Globe Asia magazine’s list of the 99 Most Influential Women in Indonesia 2007.

Launching its official website, in 1980, Mustika Ratu gained a good reputation as a developer of beauty products and traditional health herbs. This success led to increased market demand and built its first factory in Ciracas, East Jakarta on April 8, 1981.
Thanks to Mooryati Soedibyo, a series of quality certificates were obtained by Mustika Ratu. Since the 2000s, a series of products have been distributed to various Southeast Asian and East Asian countries.
